The F1 Singapore weekend returns to the Marina Bay Street Circuit from 9 to 11 October 2026, and this year it’s bigger and promises one of the strongest performance line-ups we’ve seen in years.

Overview of the Singapore F1 Grand Prix
The first Singapore F1 Grand Prix in 2008 was Formula 1’s first night race, and it announced itself with one of the sport’s great scandals: Nelson Piquet Jr’s deliberate crash, later exposed as “Crashgate,” handed Fernando Alonso the win. Carlos Sainz ended Red Bull’s record winning streak here in 2023, and in 2025 George Russell took pole and the win while Lewis Hamilton set a 1:33.808 lap record.
In 2023, the layout was shortened from 23 to 19 corners when the foreshore was redeveloped, but the character is unchanged: bumpy public roads, barriers that punish even a centimetre of error, and almost no run-off. Add the Sprint format, and 2026 becomes one of the season’s most unpredictable weekends in the Singapore F1 Grand Prix history.

The Singapore F1 track is divided into ticketed zones, of which two are notable:
- Zone 1 covers the pit straight, the opening corners, the premium grandstands and the Wharf and Barge stages.
- Zone 4 covers the Padang, Stamford, Connaught and Empress areas, including the Padang concert stage, as well as the Downtown, Waterside, The Garage and DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre precincts. Some F1 tickets cover multiple zones; many restrict you to the one printed on the F1 ticket you hold.

This F1 event will also be a Sprint weekend, which cuts the usual three practice sessions down to one. This means that a single hour on Friday afternoon is the only practice all weekend, and everything after it counts:
- Friday’s Sprint Qualifying sets the starting grid for Saturday’s Sprint.
- Saturday’s Qualifying sets the grid for Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix.
- Points go to the top eight in the Sprint and the top ten in the Singapore Grand Prix.
So Friday is no longer a low-stakes day. Note, too, that Singapore’s Sprint runs in the evening local time, unlike daytime Sprint schedules at many other venues, because F1 Singapore is a night race.

Prices aside, consider which events and areas interest you the most. Start and pit stops? Pit or Super Pit? Overtakes and first-lap drama? Or perhaps you’d be mainly there for the music? In any case, a Zone 4 Walkabout is the cheapest way in and lets you roam.

Two warnings: check the reseller directory itself rather than an old listing found via search—last year’s page will likely sell you a link to nowhere. And the organisers have already claimed that several grandstand categories are at or near capacity, so F1 Singapore tickets aren’t a decision to sit on. Book your desired F1 ticket as early as you possibly can!

If you’re booking through an online travel agency like Trip.com, Pelago or Traveloka, the transaction may be processed under MCC 4722, Visa and Mastercard’s code for Travel Agencies and Tour Operators.
“May” is the keyword there: the final MCC depends on the merchant entity, the payment route and the acquiring bank. Check your posted transaction before assuming your F1 Singapore 2026 tickets actually earned bonus rewards!

The cashback caps apply rather quickly: the headline rate stops at roughly S$312.50 in eligible online spending for OCBC FRANK, S$300 for UOB EVOL, and S$416.67 for DCS Flex. Fan-favourite miles cards may suit a larger booking, but many have bonus caps, too—spending above the cap can drop to the base rate, so a S$5,110 hospitality package won’t earn 4 mpd throughout.
Potential potholes to note: While Kris+ and Pelago spending earns 3 mpd on the KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card, they do not count towards the S$1,000 Singapore Airlines Group requirement for accelerated miles.

Getting to the F1 Singapore GP
By MRT
The circuit has nine entrances once you count Gates 3A and 3B separately, and the right station depends on the gate printed on your ticket. Getting it wrong means a long walk around a closed Marina Bay street circuit.

Train services have been extended on race nights in past years, but the 2026 arrangement hadn’t been announced as of 19 August 2026. In 2025, the last North-South and East-West Line trains left City Hall at 12.30am on Friday and 1am on Saturday and Sunday, with other lines and connecting buses also extended. Confirm against the LTA notice—the times may shift between different F1 editions.
Like it or not, the MRT is almost always the wisest choice when it comes to navigating the F1 Singapore Grand Prix event!
By Taxi or Ride-Hailing
These set-down areas come from current guides and previous years. Drop-off zones are reassigned annually, so treat them as a starting point.

Even so, MRT is generally the better choice. Taxis and private-hire cars get caught in the same F1 Singapore road closure diversions as everyone else, and large crowds leave the Circuit Park soon after the main sessions—expect pesky long waits and surge pricing for a ride.
By Car
Perhaps leave the driving to the racers? Expect heavy traffic around Marina Centre and the Padang for days, not hours. Recent F1 Singapore road closure arrangements have lasted approximately seven days, with affected roads beginning to close shortly after midnight to install race infrastructure and reopening progressively after the race.
As of 19 August 2026, LTA had not published the confirmed 2026 plan for F1 Singapore road closures. That said, previous editions affected or restricted access along roads including Nicoll Highway, Raffles Avenue, Raffles Boulevard, Republic Boulevard, Esplanade Drive, St Andrew’s Road, Stamford Road, Bras Basah Road, Collyer Quay and Bayfront Avenue. Some stretches reopened temporarily during selected peak-hour periods.

Nearby Suntec City, Millenia Walk, and Marina Square carparks remained open during recent editions, subject to availability and restricted access, but check the official 2026 transport plan once it is released. Wherever you park, allow extra time for diversions and the walk to the circuit.

Not going in person? beIN SPORTS is the listed broadcaster for Singapore. Formula 1’s international directory lists Sky Sports and Channel 4 for the UK and Ireland, Apple TV in the US, and Fox Sports, Foxtel and Kayo in Australia.
A nice side effect of a night race: Sunday’s 8pm start lands at 1pm in London and 8am on the US East Coast. Check local listings, as channels and coverage windows vary by session when you watch F1 Singapore live.
F1 Singapore 2026 Concert Line-Up
Singapore GP has announced more than 100 hours of entertainment across 10 stages and themed precincts. The headliners are as follows:

Smaller Zone 4 stages will see performers such as: Downtown, Waterside, and The Garage. At the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre: Prep, The Rubens, Monochrome and Lola Amour.
Please note before booking your tickets! Every ticket includes access to Zone 4 performances, including the Padang Stage. The Wharf and Barge stages require a ticket that grants Zone 1 access, valid for the day of the performance. Zone 1 is a considerable distance from the Padang: travel guides suggest exiting near Nicoll Highway, taking the MRT to City Hall and re-entering via Gate 3A or 3B. Allow substantial transfer time and check the 2026 event guidance. Note, too, that Janet Jackson (Wharf) and James Arthur (Padang) both start at 6.15pm Sunday—you’ll have to choose.
F1 Singapore 2026 Merchandise
Official F1 merchandise Singapore fans would love—team caps, driver tees, event exclusives—can be ordered through the Singapore GP online shop in time to come. Circuit Park booths and event self-collection are typically offered as well, though the new details pertaining to F1 Singapore 2026 haven’t been made public yet.
For overseas visitors, self-collection is the sensible route: order online ahead and collect in person rather than risk your order chasing you home. The shop’s shipping policy recommends exactly this.
Local shipping costs S$6, with a stated shipping lead time of three to five working days. Orders are usually processed within two to three business days, while international rates vary.
